Volunteer Opportunities
Giving back can be a great way to help yourself get ahead. Baxter recognizes that you can enrich your life by helping others and is dedicated to supporting volunteerism within the hemophilia community. That's why the Education Advantage program encourages volunteerism and community service and provides resources that help you connect with opportunities in your community. Volunteering does more than just make you feel good – it can make a difference in your life and in your community.

In addition to being the right thing to do, volunteering is also the smart thing to do, and a great way to gain new skills to help you improve your career options and prospects. Having volunteer experiences can show that you have communication and leadership skills while highlighting to prospective employers that you are adaptable and self-motivated. Volunteer work can also provide great opportunities to network and quickly make connections.1
There are a variety of opportunities you can enjoy while giving back to your hemophilia community. The following are some ideas to help you get started:
- Volunteer at your local HTC
- Become a camp counselor at a hemophilia summer camp
- Find opportunities offered through the National Hemophilia Foundation
- Contact your local chapter for volunteer work or programs in your area
There are also many online resources that can help you find opportunities by location or interest, such as VolunteerMatch, Serve.gov, and SmartVolunteer.
